The guide and courier were excellent and went the extra mile to make everyone happy. Information received about personal parts of lives of lost ones is something to be cherished forever.
Mr M, Glasgow
For the Somme and Ypres battlefield tour we base ourselves in the Somme area and take a day excursion to Ypres. The tour visits selected sites, but you will see a wide area of the Somme and the Ypres Salient which witnessed fighting. We also take an opportunity to visit other sites of interest en route.

The Somme and Ypres have shaped perceptions of the First World War for generations of British people. In the Battle of the Somme the British army suffered 57,000 casualties on the first day. More British soldiers were killed at Ypres than anywhere else in World War 1 and The Third Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) remains today as perhaps the most powerful impression of sacrifice in the war.
For the Somme and Ypres tour we stay in the centre of the historic town of Arras with its extensive selection of restaurants and bars.
The price of this tour is £355. Click here for more info.
