The Somme and Ypres battlefields have shaped perceptions of the First World War for generations of British people. In the Battle of the Somme the British army suffered 57,000 casualties on the first day. More British soldiers were killed at Ypres than anywhere else in World War 1 and The Third Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) remains today as perhaps the most powerful impression of sacrifice in the war.

For the Ypres and Somme battlefield tour we base ourselves in Ypres and take a day excursion to the Somme. The tour visits selected sites, but you will see a wide area of the Somme and the Ypres Salient which witnessed fighting.
For the duration of the tour we shall stay in the centre of the historic town of Ypres with its extensive selection of restaurants and bars.
The price of this tour is £355. Click here for more info.
